Who We Are

Carney Green is a management consultancy operating across the UK from London and Birmingham. Founded in 2013, our business is based on energy, intelligence and client service. We deliver impact assessments and evaluations, Green Book-aligned business cases, project and programme management expertise, research, and strategy development to a range of clients including central and local government, government bodies, mayoral combined authorities, universities, and a range of other organisations from the public, private and voluntary sectors. Our core areas of expertise include, but are not limited to, economic growth, business growth and innovation, regeneration, community and place making, employment and skills, and various strands of social policy.

Carney Green is led by Mike Lane, a project management, evaluation and business case expert with 25 years consultancy experience. Whilst Mike is regularly supported by a variety of associate consultants (including with specific areas of expertise as required), his central role within the management and delivery of every project ensures we are able to maintain a consistent and high quality approach to all of our consultancy work. In addition to delivering contract work for clients, Mike also regularly provides advisory, management and delivery support to a series of private consultancies and public sector bodies.
